Rising among the pines

Three king suites under one steep roof. A sauna, a hot tub beneath the stars, two fireplaces and a fire pit for the nights between. It’s taking shape now at the head of the Methow Valley — and before anyone else, we’d like you to see it.

The Setting

Mazama, Washington

At the head of the Methow Valley, on the eastern slope of the North Cascades, sits Mazama — a hush of pine and river that began life as a mining waypoint called Goat Creek. Today it’s the quiet end of the road: a hundred-plus miles of groomed cross-country ski trails out the door, Goat Wall to climb, the river to fish, North Cascades National Park at your back, and Winthrop just down the valley.
